Victim Services
KARE provides direct services to victims and non-offending caregivers in suspected instances of abuse, neglect or witness to violence. We also provide resource referrals to help foster healing and health to child victims.
School Safety Program
Each year, KARE staff goes to every elementary classroom in Haywood County, from kindergarten through fifth grade, to teach children about body safety. This age-specific program uses videos, discussion, and take home materials to help children understand the differences between safe, unsafe, and confusing touch and what to do in situations where they feel unsafe.
