School Body Safety Program
Each year, KARE staff goes to every elementary classroom in Haywood County, from kindergarten through fifth grade, to teach children about body safety. This age-specific program uses videos, discussion, and take home materials to help children understand the differences between safe, unsafe, and confusing touch and what to do in situations where they feel unsafe.
Children also receive take-home packets for their caregivers with resources and information to support continued conversations at home.
