Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse

Every KARE staff member is trained to give presentations on signs and effects of child physical, sexual and mental abuse or neglect. This training also covers the legal reporting requirements for child caretakers. There is no fee for this service, however KARE will always gladly accept a tax-deductible donation if you are able to offer it. Trainings are tailored to the audience, and we will meet with your group facility or at the KARE House. We schedule trainings on an as-needed basis. If your organization works with children, or you just want to know the law and the procedures involved in reporting child abuse or neglect, please call the KARE office for more information.  (828) 456-8995
