How KARE is Making a Difference
KARE, Haywood County’s Children’s Advocacy Center, offers essential services to children and families affected by abuse and neglect—completely free of charge. Services include:
- Support Services: advocacy and mental health care.
- Forensic Interviews: Helping children share their stories safely.
- Community Collaboration: facilitating a multidisciplinary team to prioritize children’s needs.
- Community Training Programs: programs for children and adults
Our new building allows us to expand these services, ensuring every child receives the care they deserve.

What We Need Now
The new KARE facility allows us to:
- Expand Services: More rooms mean shorter wait times and greater capacity.
- Create a Safe Haven: A welcoming, child-centered design to comfort families and increase confidentiality.
- Increase Impact: Space to grow our team and introduce new programs to meet increasing community needs.
- Enhance Collaboration: Dedicated areas for team and multidisciplinary meetings to improve care.
How Does It Work?

- Pick Your Payment Plan: Give in a way that works for you: one-time, annually, or monthly contributions.
- Receive Recognition: All sponsorships include recognition on our website, newsletter, printed materials, exclusive updates and stories, and more.
- Sustain Our Mission: Your three-year commitment provides stable, predictable funding, helping us plan confidently and strengthen our long-term impact.
- Renew If You Wish: After three years, you’ll receive priority opportunity to renew your sponsorship, with a reduced rate.
